BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Hallgarth Hill House, Cotherstone

Circular chapter ring in an engraved lozenge set in a square stone frame. An inscription on the frame reads "Solarium". Spandrel décor clockwise from top left is: quarter protractor, quarter of a 16 rayed sun, date, and the initials "IA". Spandrels of the lozenge are clockwise from top: a gable, hourglass, urn, and carpenter’s square. Shows 7am to 4pm in half and quarter hours. Full length hour lines. Uses XII and IIII. No noon gap. Numerals aligned with hour lines and read from outside the dial. Strip gnomon with ’S’ undersupporter.
