BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Durham

Whitewashed rectangular dialplate with ogee moulded sides. Engraved lines. Numerals now appear proud of the ground. Shows 6am to 6pm in half and quarter hours. Half hours shown by inward arrow heads. Numerals aligned vertically. Uses XII and IIII. Gnomon now completely missing though remains may indicate it was copper/bronze. No Noon gap.
