BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Chatsworth House (1), Edensor nr Baslow

The dial is or was at the SE corner of the main building, on the square topped newel post of the balustrade by stairs down to a lower level. It has a triangular gnomon with elaborate piercing. The dialplate is badly eroded. This is from an early record - further information requested. The guessed date is taken from that of major works to all the fronts of the house.
