BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Bridget & Morwella’s Church (2), Morvah

The original dial of 1828 (SRN 0458) fell down and broke. It was repaired and put back in its place on the porch, but eventually replaced in 2000 by this plainer version, also of slate with a brass gnomon, which carries the same motto as its predecessor, ’Ut Umbra Sic Vita’ (As an hour, such is life).
