A green track between hedges, which is a public right of way, passes the farmhouse and from it can be seen a vertical sundial of slate. SItuated above the porch It has an arched pediment bearing the date 1708 and a sun face round the gnomon root. Below this is some floral deoration and the initials RW enclosed in a shield. It shows the hours VI-VI divided into halves and quarters with a decorative motif at noon. The iron gnomon has a sickle shaped decoration which was rusting away when Mrs Crowley drew it in 1959 but it still survives.
