BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Devon

Motto reads: "----IBE SIGNA DABIT". It is almost certainly not "Sol tibi signa dabit" with a misspelt ’tibi’ since remaining surface gaps prevent this. Shows 6am to 6pm in half and quarter hours. (numerals now only show 7am to 6pm). Numerals in line with hour lines. Inward fleurs de lys on half hour lines. Semicircle with 12 petals. Gnomon mostly gone. Rust stain down line of gnomon. Oddly this dial is (currently) mounted 1.5m from the ground.suggesting an original home elsewhere.
