BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Devon

The dial is cemented to the stone wall of the farmhouse. It shows 6am to 6pm in half and quarter hours, using IV and XII. There are Arabic numerals for time scales for Jerusalem (outer scale) and Barbado (inner scale). Noon at various cities (Goa, Constantinople, Candia, Vienna, Rome, Hamburgh, Lisbon, Corvo, Olinda, St Catherine’s, C.Charles) is marked along the hour lines. Lat 32.22 (for Jerusalem). There is a simple bar gnomon with a straight supporter.
