BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Sheldon Manor, Chippenham

Located on the terrace to the west of the house. Shows 4am to 8pm in 30, 10 and 2 min marks. Noon is marked as XII and 4pm as IIII. Numerals read from outside the dial. Design Latitude 51° 12’ 10” N. Furniture includes an Equation of Time table and a 4 point compass. Solid 5mm thick sigmoidal gnomon with small side supporters. There is some oxidation to the dial plate. Set on large engraved baluster pedestal 1270mm tall with circular top and square base.
