BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Ham House [NT] (2), Richmond

To right and rear of house. Shows 4am to 8pm in 30, 15, 7.5, 3.75 and in Arabic tens 10 and 1 min marks. Inward fleurs de lys mark the half hours. Noon gap with ’HAM’ in gap. Uses XII and IIII. Numerals viewed from outside the dial. EoT scale of Watch faster/slower type. Many cities marked by arrowed lines pointing to time of Noon. Sigmoidal gnomon with half-round side supports. Set on an octagonal section acanthus decorated baluster pedestal with octagonal capital and large octagonal one step base.
