BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Cheshire

Inscr reads: "In Memory of Alex and Niamh Brooker December 2002". (Children killed in a car accident). Portrait of each child and drawing of a ballet dancer and Harry Potter arranged in the inner quadrants. Drawings provided by pupils. Shows 6am to 6pm in half and quarter hours. Uses 12 for Noon. Numerals read from outside the dial. Strip brass gnomon. Set on square section reconstituted stone pedestal.
