BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Suffolk

This is a modern sundial on a stone pedestal, adjacent to the church. It shows the time from 4am to 8pm in 30, 15 and 7.5 minute markings. There is a sun face and an 8-point compass rose at the centre. A motto around the edge reads: ’Turn your face to the sun and the shadows will fall behind you’.
