BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Portland Basin Museum, Ashton-under-Lyne

This small Millennium dial is mounted on the museum wall overlooking a busy boating area on the Ashton Canal. The museum is in the Ward of Ashton St Peters, and the building of St Peters Church in 1821 is recorded in the inscription above the dial, reading: ’Ashton St Peters Ashton St Peters 1821’. ’Millennium 2000 Tameside’ is across the bottom of the dialplate. The design is very similar to SRN 8483 and 8484, both also in Tameside. Access to the dial is effectively through the museum.
