BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Oxfordshire

Motto reads: ’Certa Ratio’ (’A sure or certain reckoning or account’). False date of 1662. Shows 4am to 8pm in 30, 15 and 7.5 min marks. Uses XII and IIII. Numerals read from outside the dial. Sun face centred on gnomon root. Other circles concentric with dialplate centre. Set on chamfered square section column with square capital and no base. Open gnomon with ’serpentine’ supporter.
