BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Helmingham Hall, Helmingham

This is a replica of a George Adams dial - the original is held securely by the owner. Mottoes read: "Nemo me impune lacessit" and "Confido conquiesco". These on C/arms. 32 point compass rose, EoT ring (Watch faster/slower) uses the Julian calendar. Noon at 32 cities shown by names and arrows (two per hour) in chapter ring - details in archive as per original. ’Helmingham’ in Noon gap. Lat given as 52deg 17min. Shows 4am to 8pm in 30, 15, 7.5, and, in Arabic tens,10, 5 and 1 min marks. Numerals read from outside the dial. Uses XII and IIII. Half hours marked by inward pointing fleurs de lys. Set on Octagonal bulbous baluster pedestal, capital and base. Acanthus décor.
