BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Sannie Cottage, Weston Turville

An old stone vertical south dial carries the name of the cottage across its lower edge. Standing figures are carved either side of the dial plate and in a broken pediment over the top is the face of a cherub. It shows the hours VI- VI divided into halves and quarters. A sun face is visible round the root of the missing gnomon.The dial plate measures about 610mm wide by 740mm high.
