Dial in Oxfordshire
Circular horizontal memorial dial with Equation of Time table.
It has a large 8 point compass rose in the centre of the dialplate. Around this are several rings forming a table of the Equation of Time showing by how many minutes a watch is faster or slower than the dial. This isn’t corrected for this longitude so the values are all 5 minutes slow. Outside this is the chapter ring with Roman hour numerals from 4am to 8pm and 30, 15 and 5 min marks. The numerals are viewed from outside the dial. There is a noon gap.
The solid gnomon has a curved north edge.
