BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Rose Cottage, Stutton

The dial is below a bay window. Breakarch dial shape with lion’s head in relief in arch. White painted. Black iron rod gnomon singly supported. Shows 6am to 6pm in hours. Uses XII and IV. Hour lines have arrow ending. Date may read 1996 or perhaps 1776 etc. Hour lines point to gnomon root except those for 6am and 6pm which are too low.
