BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Lavendon Grange, Lavendon

Dating from 1625 this stone dial once had the motto, ’They perish and are reckoned’ across the top but this has now become illegible. It is almost a direct south dial and was probably intended as such since it declines only 3° east. It shows the hours VI - VI undivided. The numerals are painted black and the unpainted hour lines are distinguishable.The iron gnomon has a hooked end and a decorative scrolled supporter. At its root is a star which may have been intended as a sunburst.
