BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in London (Greater)

The dial is to the west of the main entrance. The motto reads: "Sunny Hours". There are two phoenixes, one on either side of the gnomon, which has been incorrectly mounted, pointing to the south instead of to the north. There is an 8-point compass rose at the position where the gnomon root should be. The dial shows 4am to 8pm in 30,15 and 7.5 min marks, with a noon gap and using XII and IIII. The numerals are viewed from outside the dial. Bulbous tipped open gnomon with elaborate ’S’ supporter. Set on an octagonal section column, capital, plinth and a square base. Plaques date from 1964.
