Dial in Cambridgeshire

The dial is set on a cylindrical column flared out at the base with reducing ogee capital. It is a memorial to Lucy Collyer who died in 1934, and has weathered to a very dark patina. It shows 4am to 8pm with Roman numerals with half and quarter hour subdivisions. It uses XII for noon and IIII for both fours. The numerals read as from outside the dial. There is a noon gap. The open gnomon (slightly bent) has an ’epsilon’ shaped supporter. Motto reads: ’Sunny Hours’.
