BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

3 Lexden Road, Colchester

A horizontal dial mounted vertically on the wall. Motto reads: "Time is Money". Replica dial, possibly cast rather than engraved. False date of 1657. Shows 5am to 7pm in 30, 15 and 7.5 min marks. Split Noon. Uses XII and IIII. Numerals read from outside the dial. Curved tip to gnomon which is set to bisect a flat of the dial.
