BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

2 West Terrace, Great Ayton

The house is next to the Buck PH, and the dial is over the door. The motto reads: "Pereunt et Imputantur". Date in Roman numerals across centre. Shows 6am to 6pm in half and quarter hours. Uses XII and IV. Hour lines emanate from a double semicircle at gnomon root. Unusual slightly triangular bar gnomon (thinner at root) secured in the semicircle and with one supporter. Dial not properly positioned located over the door. Wall faces 245 degs.
