BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Chenies Manor House (2), Chenies

This modern brass horizontal dial is a replacement for one which had been stolen. It shows the hours 5am to 7pm divided into quarters with no specific half hour markers. The time scale is not deineated correctly.Four compass directions are shown and the inscription ’Morning Glory’. The cast gnomon of the ’knuckleduster’ type is set in a central floral design. The dial is octagonal and measures 171mm across.
