BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Nicholas’s Church, Piddington

Rectangular vertical dial facing east of south on the south-east corner of the tower. The dialplate is in poor condition, with repairs around 10am and some markings indistinct. There is a large semicircle round the gnomon root, then full length hour lines and short half hour marks inside the rectangular chapter ring. The hour numerals show 6am to 5pm in upright Arabic characters except 5pm which is a V. The tapered rod gnomon has a single ’S’-shaped supporter quite near its root.
