BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Essex

Memorial dial marked by the maker as made in 17th C style. Shows 4am to 8pm in 30, 15, 7.5 and (in Arabic tens) 1 min marks with fleurs de lys half hour markers. Noon gap. EoT scale of Watch Faster, Slower type. Uses XII and IIII. Numerals read from outside the dial. A gnomon is available for the ground staff to use on special occasions.
