BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
This bronze horizontal dial was reported to be in store and it is not certain whether it has been reinstated. It could formerly be found in the churchyard to the South of the church. It shows the hours IIII - VIII (using XII for noon) divided into halves and intervals of 10 and 5 minutes. Noon gap present. Numerals read from outside the dial. Stepped rear edge to gnomon.There is an 8-point compass rose. The dial measures about 300mm diameter and carries a partial date 189x. Set on fat elegant octagonal column and base.1000h x 600 diam.
