BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Mary’s Church, Compton Dando

On the West side of a window to the East of the porch. Shows 8am to 2pm in hours marked with Arabic numbers. The dial declines East. Possibly an early attempt at a scientific dial. There is a hole for a gnomon but also a vertical slot. The numeral for 12 is offset to East.
