BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Farm, Highampton

A slate vertical dial declining 19° east can be seen on the farmhouse. It shows the hours VI -V divided into halves, quarters and 5 minute periods. Noon is indicated by a cross and local noon by a gilded diamond marker. The iron gnomon is painted red and has an S-shaped support. It has a motto ’Ut hirudo sic hora’ (Like the swallow so the hour (passes). The dial was made by Andrew James and dates from 2004.
