BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Sussex (E)

Motto reads: "Tempus Fugit". Five dials. Main dial shows 4am to 8pm in 30, 15 and 5 min marks. Three dot half hour markers. Uses XII and IV. Noon gap. Numerals read from inside the dial. Ring of 71 city names and their times of Noon. EoT ring of Dial slower/faster than watch type. Instruction: "To find Greenwich or Railway time add 12 mins". Four subsidiary dials for New York (11pm to 3pm), Alexandria (6am to 10pm), Island of Borneo (11am to 3am) and New Zealand (4am to 8pm). Main and two subsidiary gnomons intact. Two missing.
