BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Suffolk

The dial is In the garden with a square pond and yew hedge. It shows 5am to 7pm (delineated 4am to 8pm, using XII and IIII) in 30, 15 and 5 minute marks, with inward trident markers for half hours. The numerals are read from outside the dial. The infill of the broad strokes of the Roman numerals is from the edges and not lengthways. The motto reads: ’Tyme Brings Everything’. There is floral patterning to the south. The deeply undercut gnomon has a stepped rear edge. In November 2004, it was set on an elaborate square section stone pedestal with shell décor, but by May 2011 the dial was placed (not fixed) on a bulbous baluster style plinth with square mount stone too small for the dial. Located on Suffolk side of the river. A replica was being made for outside use in 2005.
