BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Mottoes read: ’Qui a temps a vie’, ’Neque umbra sine Luce’, ’Quasi umbra transit vita’. Also a Hindi motto which is not translated. Damaged and without its sights. Lat given as 55N and Lon as 7.5 W. Place name of Dumore on dialplate. Shows 3:30 am to 9:30 pm in Arabic Nos. Set on an inclined octagonal capital 530 a/f and pedestal 970h. Transversal ’vernier’ inscribed Solar, Greenwich and Summer Time and calibrated to 5 mins. Heliochronometer, with rotating date disc turning EoT cam. Ref: BSS Bulletin 16(iv) pp 161-170
