BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The Market House, Portaferry

Inscribed with the date and the maker’s name, and : "Upper Ards Hist. Soc". Shows 9am to 5pm in Roman numerals, and possibly half hours by dots. Full length lines. Singly supported gnomon with ball end. Set on wall under clock partially covering a slight recess.
