BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Coole Park, Gort

The semi-elliptical dial is 6300mm across, and the hour ring is made of carved limestone 340mm deep. The numerals are 85mm high, and diamonds and dots show half and quarter hours respectively. There is an EoT graph above the date scale, and a dedication on a nearby stone. Coole Park, now a Nature Reserve, was the home of Lady Augusta Gregory, co-founder with Edward Martyn and W B Yeats of the Abbey Theatre.
