BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The dial is high on the tower. A motto reads: "Memento Mori", and there is an inscription: "The Reverend Henry Ash’s Gift to the Parish - AD March 29 1819, Latitude 54d 12m N". Hours 4am to 8pm are shown with 30 and 15 min marks, and a split noon. XII and IIII are used for noon and 4am/pm. The numerals are read from outside the dial but with all Roman ’V’s upside down. The upper spandrels are decorated. The dial is similar to another by the same maker on the nearby St Joseph’s RC Chapel.
