BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Berkshire

Motto reads: "Let others tell of storms and showers I only tell the sunny hours". Declination curve (in red) for 12th July (owner’s birthday). Shows 6am to 6pm in half hours. Uses XII and IV. Numerals read from outside the dial. White infilled lettering and lines. V-section engraving. Gnomon supporter in the shape of a chough - legs and beak coloured red. Set on fat turned bath stone pedestal 623h.
