BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

National Cathedral, Bishop’s Garden, Washington DC, USA

The dial is in the Bishop’s Garden. It is marked ’Hammersmith’ in its Noon Gap. Shows 4am to 8pm. Intervals not noted. Uses XII and IIII. Design Lat 51d 30mN, Lon 0d 14mW. Might be a Grocers’ pattern geographical dial. Set on worn limestone pedestal with circular fluted column, octagonal capital and square base. Dial not apparently adjusted for latitude difference. NASS Register #203. Further information, incl provenance, requested.
