BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Houghton Hall (1), New Houghton

Multiple sundial on north block tower. Motto reads: ’Vita in Motu’. Original dials destroyed in a fire. Gnomons remain. Four new dials, three with origins off-dial and with centre sun motif. Dials match clock faces on the South Tower. S: 6am to 6pm. W: 5pm to 9pm with date. N: 4am to 7am and 7pm to 8pm. Origin on dial. E: 4am to 9am and motto. Gilded furniture on blue ground. South dial declines 14.6 degs W.
