BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Cranbrook Museum, Cranbrook

Located in the front garden of the museum, the sundial is set on the stone stump of the market cross with a large base. The motto on the dial reads: ’The Houre Pasef’. Hours are shown from 4am to 8pm with half and quarter hours. The Roman numerals use the form XII and IIII and are viewed from outside the dial. There is a noon gap for the gnomon and the hour lines pass through numerals. The gnomon has a floral piercing design. Décor is of scythe and hourglass.
