BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Cumbria

The dial is on a slate bank barn used as a garage. It is a memorial dial made by a local stonemason, the previous owner and son of the deceased. It shows 8am to 5pm in hours, using XII and IV, the numerals arranged around the circular time scale. It has an open triangular gnomon. The inscriptions read : ’13-1-1916 RMM 4-7-1995’ across the top, and ’1919-2000 Judith Da Fano’ at the bottom.
