BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Chastleton House [NT] (4), Chastleton

Carved into the stone of the south quoin of the west tower is a vertical dial which declines 54° west. It has Arabic numerals from 11am to 8pm and the hours are divided into halves. Remains of some gilding can be seen at the 3pm numeral.The hour lines spring from an offset semicircle and would meet accurately at the gnomon root. There is no gnomon now though slit-like fixing holes are visible. Across the top are the initials TG and the date.
