BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Chastleton House [NT] (2), Chastleton

On the west quoin of the south wall is a vertical dial declining 6° west. It is carved into the stone of the wall and dates from 1612.There remain two fixing holes but the gnomon itself is missing. On the circular time scale are the hours III - VI with the Vs at the horizontal and those beyond above it. Noon is marked by X2 and 6 pm appears as IV.
