BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Kent

This armillary dial has an upwards arrow gnomon with (large) head and flight made to look like a bat’s wing. The hours are in Roman numerals and are shown from 4am to 8pm. The form XII is used for 12 0’clock. The rings are rather buckled. The dial is supported on a ’flattened’ cone on a stone pillar and capital 600 mm high.
