BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Suffolk

Gnomon missing. Shows 6am to 6pm in half hours, using X for Noon and IIII, the numerals read from inside the dial. The date is in the south of the chapter ring. 1652 was a year of a total solar eclipse and the dial may have been deliberately buried. It is now indoors for safe keeping.
