BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Village Hall, Preston Capes

Set back in verdigris copper sheet frame. Inscr reads: "Latitude North 52:11:11 Preston Capes Longitude West 00:09:28" at the top and "Population 195" at bottom. Shows 6am to 5pm in half and quarter hours. [Delin 5:30 to 5:50]. Lettering in gold leaf. Eight flame sun motif added to surface at gnomon root with date :"MM" below it. Gnomon is 425 long.
