BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Fife

Motto reads: "Hours Fly". Hand or pantograph engraved with drilled spots for origins of styles and eyes of sunface. Original gnomon thought to have been swaged in place. Dial brought from England and design latitude varies with the hour lines but is about 52-53 degs. New gnomon uses 56 degs however. Shows 4am to 8pm in 30, 15 and 7.5 min marks. Numerals read from outside the dial Uses XII and IIII. Sun face at root.
