BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

St Mary’s Church, Leckhampstead

Early scientific dial on the right hand quoin of the south porch. The dial is about 3m (11ft) high. There is no gnomon but the hour lines are clearly visible in relief - probably having been protected from erosion by being painted. There are hour lines from 6am to 6pm in hours. In the chapter ring only the 5pm V Roman numeral is just discernible.
