BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

All Saints’ Church (2), Shirburn

Circular, possibly Saxon, vertical dial, low on the tower. The dial is in poor condition, but you can still see the circular chapter ring and, in the lower 180 degrees, five or six hour lines. The gnomon hole has been fiulled. A fragment of inscription in the upper part of the chapter ring reads: "...T SVNT". (Possibly ... ET SUNT). See also dial SRN 5499 on the same church. The church is in the private grounds of the castle and is no longer used, but pedestrian access is possible. It is kept locked, with a nearby keyholder. There should be a sign stating where to get the key. Access to the castle, the oldest brick building in Oxfordshire, is, regrettably, not possible.
