BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Devon

Motto reads: "Vivette ait Fugio". 7 Declination lines Cherub to top L & R. Sunface at root. Moon face and Star to left of root. Initials JM (?Ch/Warden). Shows 10am to 8pm in half and quarter hours. Fleurs de lys half hour markers. Replacement gnomon with ’V’-notch nodus - like the original. . Uses XII and IIII. Date Dial was broken and cracked. Missing pieces & detail now restored. (Dial came originally from St Augustine’s Rectory, Heanton Punchardon)
