BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Kent

The dial is mounted on a stepped square base surrounded by a fence. Set, too high to be seen, on an elaborate pedestal with four carved figures representing the seasons, sculpted by Tim Lees. The original dial on this pedestal, made in 1840 and paid for by public subscription, was made by Richard Melvin but was removed to the City Museum.
