BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Sussex (W)

Square stone slab dial plate with hour lines marked out (not very accurately) for 4am to 8pm. No other details visible on photograph. Gnomon missing. Presented by the National Association of Master Masons. Inverted tapered pedestal has a square design on the S side with a figure like a paddle, above ’NAMM’. Above this, barely distinguishable, are a coat of arms with motto in a ribbon below. More information requested. Photos A O Wood June 2008.
